After serving in the United States Marines for 5 years I received an honorable discharge. While in the Marines I mastered my skills as a barber and upon my discharge I enrolled in Cosmetology school of Hair Design. Once I completed hair school I started my career working in numerous salons to learn everything I could about the art of hair designs, color, cutting and how to give clients what they want. I have taken numerous educational classes in the Art of cutting, Coloring and the science of hair design as well as the study of hair structure and the chemistry of hair. My philosophy has always been that healthy hair is the foundation of all hair styles and hair cuts. Educating the clients on how to take care of their hair regardless of their texture or if they are temporarily wearing extensions, braids or simply taking a break from relaxing their hair.
I’ve been a stylist in the hair industry for 25 years and a co salon owner for 20 years. With the experience that I have accumulated, I will take the opportunity to share what I’ve learned through the years with the young stylist that are attending beauty school they will be the future stylist that will someday serve clients. We also have a mentoring program for new stylist coming out of cosmetology school, if they are serious minded and want a career as a stylist. It’s an honor and I enjoy teaching and giving back to an industry that has been very good to me and I’ve been blessed to be a part of.
If I’m not in the salon educating or servicing clients I’m spending time with my wife and two boys which I enjoy immensely. I enjoy the outdoors activities and photography and traveling. As stylist you have to have a balance in your life to be a better person for yourself and for the clients you serve. This is a very demanding field but I love it.
